A Sri Lankan twist on Neo-Futurism with Ruwanthie, Second Year Fashion Design and Textile Student

My design circulates around the colours of neo futurism and its silhouettes. Usage of many panels is a direct influence of neo futuristic architecture. My motive was to create a piece which communicates between the heritage crafts and the modernity. Colourful panels are hand-woven by me incorporating turmeric dyed bobbin lace. Usage of denim was to give the heritage craft a modern direction.
